What changes compared with a consensus run the traditional way?

In a traditional process opinions are collected and summarised. Butterfly measures consensus, ties every vote to the evidence, detects contradictions and leaves a complete trail: the result is publishable and defensible, and arrives in under six months instead of 10-16.

And compared with ChatGPT or another LLM?

An LLM generates an answer. Butterfly is a platform with a proprietary engine: it measures how reliable every source and every claim is, why, and what is missing to decide, and leaves a complete trail. Around the engine are the modules: expert consensus, surveys, simulator, automatic reports, dashboard, compliance and payments. Generative AI is one of the components, checked by a chain of agents, not the product. Where human judgement is needed, as in consensus studies, the experts vote; where speed is needed, as in FARO dossiers, the engine weighs the sources automatically. That is why it appears in the methods of five publications.

How much time does it take from my experts?

A link, no training. Rounds are asynchronous and can be voted from any device; for in-person boards there is a live mode with real-time results.

Are the results publishable? Who signs?

Yes: five peer-reviewed publications and an abstract at ESTRO. The experts and the scientific coordinator sign; Butterfly appears in the methods.
